What is the difference between weather and the climate change

The weather and the climate are differentiated by measuring the time it takes to change from one condition to the other. Weather is the condition of the atmosphere in a particular area for a short period of time whereas climate is the behavior of the atmosphere over a long term. The major difference while talking about weather and the climate is the duration. Usually we check for the climate of the region while we plan for a holiday, while weather is the forecast or the current temperature status in that area. Climate change being a hot topic in the current global world let us see about the weather and the climate differences and how this is impacting our life.

What does weather mean?

The weather is about day to day changes in the atmosphere. It refers to the short term condition of the atmosphere at any  time. This includes changes in temperature, rainfall, humidity, atmospheric pressure, sunshine, etc. While we are discussing the weather, we should try to know the relationship between the sun and weather and how it determines whether the day will be hot or cold. The different atmospheric condition area unit caused by the sun thanks to the heating of layers of atmosphere at distant levels. The movement of cold and hot air in the layers of atmosphere from earth due to the radiations from sun forms the precipitation, cloud and storms. The fluctuation in the atmospheric conditions, especially in the troposphere layer changes the weather. The weather forecasts are done by the earth science department and therefore the information is analyzed and utilized by varied individuals like fire-fighters, farmers, military coming up with, etc.

What does climate mean?

The climate is the weather condition of a particular area or a region for a long term. The area climate is 30 years was calculated. Climate is additionally referred to as the typical weather pattern and over an extended amount of your time in a very specific region. The climate of a place is calculated by considering the average weather conditions like rainfall, atmospheric pressure, humidity, sunshine, etc. The change in the climate causes change in seasons. Thus there are different seasons in different places of the world. The change in the climate of the season cannot be identified easily as we do for the weather and the climatic change is observed over long periods of time, usually decades together. Changes in the regional climate is the cause for alter in the water supplies due to rainfall, change in crop yields and changes in the forest areas, etc. The climatic changes not only affect rainfall or crop yields but also the human health, animals and various ecosystems. The scientists studies the change in climate by observing the ground, water, air and space

Differences between weather and climate change

The major difference between weather and the climate is that the weather is “what you get” and the climate is that “what you expect”. The climatic change in the earth is due to human activities like fossil fuel burning causing the greenhouse effect, global warming and also by the natural processes like volcanic eruptions, cyclical ocean patterns, etc. The weather changes can be realized by the humans immediately since it changes from hour to hour, day to day and month to month. But whereas the climatic changes cannot be directly realized but slightly like the winters for us may be less when compared to our parents or grandparents, while our children will have less impact of winter than us. Thus, climate is the average weather pattern over time and space.
